We Had a Need for Change

Time had come where we needed to make a change to the sliding glass door in the basement. You know the indications… it’s a bit drafty, the sliding door wasn’t really all that attractive, the basement was always cold, or it was just “time”. Whatever the reason for change, it causes pause. Pause for discussion, possible resolutions, and who or what is going to “fix” the aforementioned indications for change.

Where to Go?

Like many others, we found ourselves at Home Depot. We looked at doors and talked to the sales people. We explained we didn’t have a contractor to install the door. Additionally, there was little possibility I’d be able to install one myself.. correctly and in a timely manner :)

We decided on a Jensen french door and gave our information to Home Depot to have the contractor set up a time to estimate the replacement of the sliding door. Wheels were in motion, but we weren’t sure what to expect from the contractor.

Professional, Courteous, and Knowledgeable

Our contractor was Kelly Caffe of Caffe’s Construction. From the initial contact, to the estimate, and on to through the installation, we were pleased with the communication and professionalism. They were prompt, courteous, reliable, and genuinely knowledgeable.

The mitre cuts were true and the door was plumb. Even little details were taken care of, leaving me nothing to cleanup or fill-in. Kelly and his helper did a great job removing the slider and installing the new french door.
